Talented French golfer Romain Wattel is one of the standout players to have made a switch in equipment companies over the winter.
Wattel has now become a Nike staff player joining the likes of Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods with the Nike swoosh on his bag.
And as is the scenario with Nike, it means the French-born carries no other logo.
Wattel had been with Titleist since he was a teenager and signed on with Nike in a 14-club, golf ball, shoes, cap and glove deal.
“It is a big change for me and I am confident of playing well this week,” he said.
“Nike has some of the best players in the game playing with their clubs such as Rory (McIlroy) and Tiger (Woods) so I am really pleased to be a part of the team.”
